How to tap into your intuition? By Geo Kappen

That thing you call 'intuition' is the voice of your soul. It will always be true and the best path for you. Your soul knows everything. A lot more than your brain or heart.  The purest core of your unconsciousness is your soul. Your soul communicates you (the consciousness) via 'intuition' or 'gut feeling', which always has a purpose that will reveal soon or later if you followed it. If you are able to follow your intuition you will be in the truest path of your life. You will find your real self, but most of us fails to follow our intuition due to our disturbed consciousness. The only way to tap into your intuition is to calm your mind (the consciousness, subconsciousness and the unconscious). Here I reveal some secret tips and techniques used by yogis and ancient 'Rishis' to get them connected to the voice of their soul.

1. Meditate daily at least 10 to 15 minutes

Meditation is the inevitable habit that must be followed by a person who wish to listen to his soul speaking. It is not compulsory meditate for long hours unless you follow spiritual path. Now a days everybody is busy by chasing money in wrong ways. Among that, reserving a small duration of time, at least 10 to 15 minutes for meditation has the power to divert you to the truest path, which the universe has designed only for you. When you walk through the path decided by others or society may not lead to the destination your soul seeks. Life satisfaction will always be in the other shore. Once you clean your mind, the inner vision by meditating the vision which the universe dedicated for you will reveal and fabulous than anything else. This determines the purpose and aim of your life. Meditation can be do by sitting or lay down position. Its all about mind, but body must be in favorable position, because mind functions properly only if the body function well. It can be do anytime as per your convenience. There are different methods of meditation for example, by concentrating on breath, based on visualization, chanting, by sending love, by thanking the universe, by focusing the third eye. It is freedom of the individual to follow the convenient method. I'm not suggesting a strict method here, once you started you will get directions from your unconsciousness because meditation is listening to your soul.

2. Walk in nature

Nature is a distant phenomena for modern children. They are observing it through electronics media. As we have lost the connection with nature we lost much more, our health, our freshness, our confidence, our positive feeling of wellness and the ability to control instincts and listen to the unconsciousness. One who wish to listen to his/her soul singing, he/she must touch nature. Once you touch the nature it will embrace you back, with all of its love. Even the video or picture of nature gives us some kind unknown positive feelings, what it will be when walk into it bare foot. Those who cannot have nature's garden close to them try walk bare foot on soil, or meadow. Physically it helps blood circulation and mentally it results in tighten the bond or connection with nature and possibly the universe. It helps to pass the cosmic energy and positive vibrations of earth through your mind and body. It corrects the alignment with nature and the driving becomes smooth without much effort. Your life is the vehicle, you are the driver, and its time to take the decision in which direction the journey should continue.

3. Restructure your life (if it isn't)

Now a days there are many youngsters who lost their sleep due to smart phones. I have observed that many of the youngsters starts sleeping in night between 2.00 AM - 3.00 AM (Actually not the night, the morning of the next day) and waking up between 9.00 AM - 10 AM. This is one of the most pathetic condition modern youth faces. There is another group who spend the time for sleeping by talking and chilling with others. If you can't make with them, don't chill with them. There are drug and alcohol abusers on the other side. Alcohol is good as a medicine. Only as a medicine. Our ancient texts has stated this. The Holy Bible also talks about it, but understand the fact that, alcohol and 'wine' are not the same. These type of lifestyles will damage your circadian rhythm (the biological clock). So if you belongs to any of these category restructure your life in order to lead your life into its fullness. The blood circulation concentrates to the liver from 11 PM - 3.00 AM. During this time the liver will be filled with more blood than of day time. This is the time the liver neutralizes or break down the toxins in the body accumulated throughout the day. It is called detoxification process. In that time your body must in rest, i. e., sleeping. Otherwise the detoxification process cannot be carry out effortlessly. So adjust your sleep time as per you keep yourself sleeping during the time period of 11 PM - 3.00 AM. Along with this there is another rule that, a human must sleep enough (minimum 6 - 8 hours), because the whole body should get enough rest including majority portions of brain. So it is better to go to bed before 9.00 PM and wake up at any point after 3.00 AM. Ancient Yogis woke up at 3.00 AM. They called that point of time 'Brahmamuhurtha' (the time which 'Brahma', God opens his eye), the time which the 'Ushakalanakshatra' (the morning star) rising. By following this time suggestion you can assure that you are getting enough sleep in the right time.

4. Eat healthy

It is not compulsory to become a vegan, but eat organic, avoid junk food, chemical oriented food items and artificial drinks. Eat naturally. Include more leaves, vegetables and fruits in your diet. If you are eating non veg items compensate it by green. The fast food culture is not suitable for one who seek spiritual progress. The eating time and quantity must be regulated. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper. The best time for breakfast is between 7.00 AM and 7.30 AM. It should not go beyond 10 AM. Prefer protein rich food for breakfast in normal cases. The ideal time for lunch is between 12.45 PM to 1.30 PM. It is good to have at least 4 hours gap between breakfast and lunch. Lunch should not be delayed later than 3.30 PM. The best time for dinner is between 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM. There must be a gap of 3 hours between lunch and dinner. Do not delay the dinner than 9.30 PM. Keeping this time schedule will dramatically change your life.

5. Be a good observer and listener

Maturity is understanding when to speak and not. One of the major problem suffered by mankind is, most of us are responding before listening carefully. This is one of the most common cause of many problems and heartaches. It leads to misunderstanding and misunderstanding acts as the foundation of all problems. So let's first listen. Then talk. An intuitive person will not talk too much, but he/she walks the talk. A person who wants to listen to his or her intuition must be a good observer too. His/her eyes must be open towards fellow beings, the society, nature and to the stars. Let's enjoy the beauty of universe. This will enhance your empathy (the ability to see things from others perspective). This leads to develop a matured mind. A matured mind will always be stable. It is slow and steady. It will open to the soul, and it is mature enough to realize the voice of the soul. So let's observe, reflect and grow together.

6. Regulate the usage of social media

Being an intuitive person is listening to your inner voice, not the mind chatter, but the soul speaks. Using social media is listening to people noise. Too much of it fills your mind with negative chatters. A noisy radio will not deliver clear voice. So keep your mind tuned. You can use social media, but do not let it use you. It is equal to be like ball in rush footpath. So learn to use social media only for useful purpose as you have learned how to use it in the beginning. Otherwise it will eat up your time of spiritual progression and intellectual growth. Instead of being a so called 'viewer', 'follower' or 'subscriber' transform yourself a 'contributor' or 'creator'.
As I have stated before, "that thing you call 'intuition' is the voice of your soul. It will always be true and the best path for you. So keep listening. Keep going."
